London Biennale

The Farmiloes Building

Clerkenwell, London

Taking place every two years the London Architectural Biennale is a celebration of London's vibrant architectural scene. In order to bind all the events and venues together Buckley Gray Yeoman were commissioned to design an installation within the main venue. Visitors walked across a glass floor below which was a giant three-dimensional map, cocooned within a sight, sound and smell experience. At the exact location of each Biennale event a piece of the map rose out of the floor to form a glowing plinth, each of differing heights. And the best bit? Children could climb all over it!"
