Channel 5 Bridge
Long Acre, London W1
Channel 5 Broadcasting Ltd
Buckley Gray Yeoman were approached by Channel 5 Broadcasting to create for them 'a simple, logically engineered, artistically interesting, cost effective, beautiful way' of getting their staff (and the all important tea trolley) across an internal atrium space separating two of their buildings. Taking support from existing Grade II listed beams, the solution was dynamic whilst at the same time almost invisible (due to the polished stainless steel finish). The bridge was made by Marzorati Ronchetti in their workshop in Milan and brought to London on the back of a lorry!
