This new build, mixed-use scheme comprises of 30,000 sq ft office space and nine residential units. The brief called for a sustainable, contemporary warehouse building, which related to both the canal frontage and the urban context. This building, due for completion in 2010 will be the first commercial building in London to be built using an entirely timber framed structure. The relationship with the water is reinforced by proposals to use the canal water to cool the building, to bring in construction materials and to allow commuters and visitors to arrive via boat.
