Mixed Use
Despite a myth to the contrary, very few buildings are bespoke creations in response to unique requirements. Most buildings are designed as commodities for a mass market - architecture for an unknown user with unknown requirements. However, with a little thought it can result in buildings, which are flexible, adaptable, accommodating and which stand out in the market place. In short, buildings where "ticking all the boxes" is a given and where time has been spent ensuring that they are beautiful and appealing. Mixed used to have a level of flexibility allowing developments to respond to the demands of the market, be it commercial or residential, as that phase of the development comes to the market.
