A comprehensive masterplan for a 0.54h site in Southwark, located within close proximity to the regeneration area of Bermondsey Spa and several conservation areas. The scheme comprises 85 new build residential apartments in four blocks set around a central landscaped courtyard, providing both private sale and social housing. Architecturally, the new buildings display a robust and modern approach whilst also reflecting the site’s industrial past. The development will introduce a new ‘parkland’ setting to the industrial development strip, located next to Old Kent Road, providing a strong and positive contribution to the immediate public realm. BuckleyGrayYeoman secured planning consent in December 2012.
