As our third store for Fred Perry in the Far East, we sought to develop the brand identity further and augment it as a key boutique brand within the Asian market.
The key element within the store design is based on an abstracted laurel wreath design being carved out of a solid concrete form. Consequently, product displays are carved into the curved concrete walls and views into the store are provided through punctured openings in the shape of laurel wreaths in the walls.
Curved brass hanging rails have been placed within the shop floor to continue the abstracted laurel wreath form, their slatted design provides form without dominating the space. Brass and black stained timber in the detailing of the openings of the concrete walls and recessed displays contrast and offset the large concrete walls. The black and brass detailing is continued in coloured aggregates within the poured terrazzo floor.
