    Client: Fred Perry

Our designs for the new Fred Perry store at Coal Drops Yard (King’s Cross, London) create a distinctive and bold store which stands apart from other neighbouring clothing stores. Referencing the engineering subtext of the wider King’s Cross development, the design makes use of a warm, industrial material palette including South American slate floor tiles, black painted soffit and services, a concrete feature wall with recessed branded detailing, and steel display units coated in a matt black finish.

A central feature unifies the space and creates a striking element when one enters the store. Stacked modular steel boxes are irregularly arranged, providing surfaces to display products as well as acting as seating for customers. TV screens displaying portions of the laurel wreath have been inserted into the boxes and are positioned to show a complete Fred Perry laurel logo when looking towards the feature from the shop entrance.
