Rhys completed his studies at the Westminster School of Architecture in 2009 and worked for PL-Architecture for a year on international cultural projects. He has worked at BuckleyGrayYeoman since 2010, becoming an Associate in 2017. Rhys has worked in a broad range of sectors and is currently delivering commercial and residential projects.
His strengths lie in finding clear, elegant solutions to complex briefs, applying a balanced approach to both matters of design and problem-solving.
Rhys was the lead architect on 42 Berners Street for The Berners Allsopp Estate, a new landmark commercial building in Fitzrovia. The design provides both office and retail space and has set a benchmark for future developments within the estate. He has a broad experience of delivering the refurbishment and extensions of listed buildings within central London, with the highly acclaimed project at 10 Bedford Street being a notable achievement.
Rhys takes a keen interest in the materiality of projects, being in regular attendance at various international industry shows and exhibitions. He has a breadth of knowledge on natural materials and their use in construction.
Away from the office Rhys is a keen cyclist, regularly committing himself to long distance rides.
