New planning permission

21 March 2016

Buckley Gray Yeoman has been given planning to refurbish a 1920s former textile warehouse in east London into new office space on behalf of CBRE Global Investor.  A two-storey extension will be added to the existing three-storey building in Hackney which will increase space by two thirds, taking the floor area up from 1,129sq m to 1,873sq m.Work will involve adding one storey that will be in keeping with the original brick structure while the other will feature a glazed pavilion and terrace. The interior design aspires to work with the best of the existing building, complementing the industrial aesthetic with modern enhancements to create maximum flexibility.  Work is due to start later this spring and take a year to complete. The building at 293 Old Street sits within the Hoxton Square zone of the South Shoreditch Conservation Area.
