The Passage has been named as Regional Finalist in the 2017 Civic Trust Awards. Regional Finalists will be put forward to National Panel for second tier consideration. National Panel will review all Regional Finalists and consider them for a National/International Civic Trust Award or Commendation. Pure Aldgate’s 19 storeys contain over 11,970 sq m of accommodation and communal facilities on the edge of the City of London. The highlights of the building include a screening room, private gym and a skylounge and outdoor terrace on the 19th floor that boasts spectacular views of the London skyline. Summer 2014 saw the completion of The Textile Building, a £30 million redevelopment of the ex-Burberry factory in Hackney. BuckleyGrayYeoman’s scheme has converted this former factory into a mix of 86 loft-style apartments and commercial space. At the heart of the development runs an ‘internal street’, a piece of public realm that roots the building within it’s context and connects it to it’s surroundings. A two-storey rooftop extension designed as a distinctive white rendered box with zinc detailing has created sizeable penthouse apartments.
