BuckleyGrayYeoman have recently been appointed by developer First Base as masterplanner and architects for a new 300,000 ft2 mixed use scheme on the site of the former Amex House in Brighton. Early designs for Edwards Street Quarter show that the site will accommodate approximately 150-200 homes alongside around 150,000- 200,000 ft2 of commercial space. The centre of the site will feature a new landscaped square, while we will look into reinstate Mighell Street, which once cut across the site, providing a pedestrian route that will run through the centre of the development. The project is expected to be submitted for planning early 2018.

BGY have won planning approval for a 2 acre Hackney masterplan, a high quality mixed-use development comprising residential and student accommodation. Fantastic progress photos of Commodity Quay at St Katharine Docks, taken a few weeks ago. BuckleyGrayYeoman has been appointed to work on the major upgrade and enhancement of central London’s only marina. When finished the building will provide 130,000 sq ft of prime office space in a stunning marina setting.

Abbey Park

Our Abbey Park masterplan is featured in this week’s Building Design magazine. Outline planning consent was granted in November 2012, to redesign the masterplan for the existing Abbey Park business park in Warwickshire. The proposed siting of the 5no. new buildings, totaling 14,000sqm, are sensitive to the Grade II listed landscape, existing mature trees and historic routes through the site. The development aims to have exceptional sustainability credentials to complement the unique parkland landscape.
