BGY Inspired Artwork

21 November 2014

Over the past few months, BuckleyGrayYeoman have been working with the multidisciplinary creative studio Acylicize to create a series of custom art installations for our newly refurbished Shoreditch office. Acrylicize are an award-winning practice that develop bespoke narrative-driven custom art. They are strong believers in art beyond the gallery space. Their mission is to connect art to space and fuse brand with environment, all the while making it accessible and engaging for all.

The bespoke creations depict four prestigious BuckleyGrayYeoman projects, the highly acclaimed Buckley Building in Clerkenwell, Forest School, Bruisyard & the award-wining Q Building in Stratford. Made from distressed metal, the sculptures are intended to present an alternative view of BuckleyGrayYeoman’s architecture. Reconsidering a number of our key projects, Acrylicize have captured them as pieces of artwork in their own right, through the use of mixed media and the exploration of architecture’s relationship with space.

Acrylicize are now preparing to embark on the next collaborative project with BuckleyGrayYeoman at Henry Wood House for The Office Group, who provide flexible design-led workspace. Acrylicize will be putting their creative touch to the 1960s building in the heart of the West End, with playful references to office culture and site-specific installations that nod to the building’s location.
