BuckleyGrayYeoman carried out a reception, three level office space refurbishment and roof terrace extension at 78 Chamber Street for Derwent London. A short walk from both Tower Hill and Aldgate, the site is located in the heart of an up and coming area. The refurbishment provides a new image for the building by bringing a touch of Shoreditch to the City, transforming a rear loading bay into a chic private reception space for Levels 4-6, and providing an edgier Chamber Street address. Eccleston Place

BuckleyGrayYeoman has secured planning permission to create a new hub for retailers, designers and makers at Eccleston Place, on behalf of Grosvenor Britain and Ireland. The scheme seeks to create a new destination for innovative entrepreneurs in Victoria and comprises the sensitive refurbishment of 80, 000 sq ft spread over four buildings to provide shops, co-working spaces and eateries, clustered around a landscaped courtyard. We are very excited to report that the Performing Arts Building for Channing School is now taking shape up in Highgate, North London. The steelwork is currently being erected during the school holidays and when the pupils and staff return in September they will be able to see the bones of their new building in place. The project is currently on track for completion in April 2017 and will provide the school with a 300-seat multi-purpose theatre and concert performance space along with drama-teaching areas. The project is the third phase of work which BuckleyGrayYeoman have undertaken for the school, including the new Dining Hall, Sixth-form Centre and Sports Hall.

BuckleyGrayYeoman has secured planning permission for the comprehensive remodelling and extension of 77 Coleman Street to create an 81,924 sq ft office-led development in the City of London, on behalf of Kajima properties.   The project will create a new public street in the heart of the City: Nun Court will be extended to connect Coleman Street and Moorgate, providing a valuable pedestrian link and access to new shops and restaurants that will activate the streetscape. 77 Coleman Street will incorporate 13,573 sq ft of retail and leisure uses on the lower ground and ground floors to encourage a lively, populated public realm. BuckleyGrayYeoman got planning consent for a mixed-used building on 18 Wells Street. On Behalf of Berners-Allsopp,  the practice will demolish a four-storey 1960s office building and replace it with a six-storey building, with a retail unit on the ground and lower ground  floor, divided into four floors of office space and two apartments on the upper levels. Each office floor will have its own private balcony to the rear and secure bicycle parking on the ground floor.The façade will be elegant and contemporary, clad in light brick laid with varying orientations and bonds to articulate the façade.
