Black Lion House

BuckleyGrayYeoman has submitted plans on behalf of Resolution Property for Intersection (formerly known as Black Lion House): a new creative office development for Whitechapel’s burgeoning creative and digital business community in a refurbished office building on Whitechapel road. The proposed design will comprehensively reposition the building, rejuvenating it inside and out to create high quality workspace. A glazed rooftop extension containing three storeys of accommodation will be added to the existing six storey building to deliver an uplift in office space from 60,000 sq ft to 93,000 sq ft.

BuckleyGrayYeoman have been commissioned by Shaftesbury PLC to redevelop over 100 metres or prime retail offering within the heart of the West End. The proposals aims to activate and rejuvenate a busy and neglected part of Charing Cross Road and act as a ‘Gateway’ to Chinatown as the retail aspect wraps around three very distinct facades from Charing Cross Road through Newport Court towards Newport Place,  where BuckleyGrayYeoman are currently involved in a Westminster initiative to improve the public realm. The project was granted planning in July 2015 and is currently under construction.
