Set over four floors on Covent Garden’s bustling Long Acre, BuckleyGrayYeoman have recently completed a CAT B workplace fitout for the new European Headquarters of Canadian yoga-wear brand, Lululemon Athletica.   The brief was to create a bright & fun workplace environment that captured the positivity & youthfulness of the brand, but which also provides flexibility in their ever-expanding workforce, as the brand goes from strength to strength in Europe.   Key design elements included a striking reception area on arrival & generous breakout & dining areas to encourage staff to engage and work collectively.   A fully integrated bespoke joinery pack was created to cater for the diverse, creative…

The Passage Completion

Just around the corner from London’s Victoria Station lies a building complex which houses the Homelessness charity, The Passage. First constructed in 1863 as a girls’ orphanage and night school, the complex of buildings, including the later additions of a chapel, sisters’ accommodation and workrooms, has been renovated by BuckleyGrayYeoman to meet the ever increasing demands of providing adequate care for the homeless people of London.   The newly refurbished building enjoys much taller ceilings through the removal of a 1950’s mezzanine floor, allowing natural light to flood in from the new fully glazed Winter Garden and Canteen. Dept W Wins Planning

BuckleyGrayYeoman has won planning consent for the refurbishment of the former Wickhams Department Store on Mile End Road in London’s East End, on behalf of Resolution Property and Schroders REIM. The Tower Hamlets planning committee’s decision gives the go-ahead to refurbish and extend the 1927 Beaux Arts building to create Department W: a modern, workspace-led, mixed use development of nearly 120,000 sq ft. BuckleyGrayYeoman’s refurbishment will add to the £1.5m investment that has already been spent on the comprehensive refurbishment of the basement, ground and 1st floors of Department W to create a new community of tech businesses.   The plans will retain and conserve the Wickhams building’s famous ‘missing…

The BGY Christmas Party

On 11th December 2015 we had the BuckleyGrayYeoman Christmas Party at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire. It took 6 months of intense planning and was a huge success.    The majority of the staff took the train to the venue armed with goody bags full of of nibbles, quality streets and prosecco to get them in the mood.    The Four Seasons Hotel was a spectacular venue with plenty of Christmas trees dotted around and decorations to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. C-Space Completion

BuckleyGrayYeoman has completed C-Space, a 62,000 sq ft commercial workspace on the corner of City Road and Epworth Street in Shoreditch, East London. Working on behalf of developer Helical Bar, BuckleyGrayYeoman oversaw the retrofit of the 1960s former carpet factory, substantially re-modelling the building into a stylish commercial development with flexible spaces that celebrate its industrial heritage. C-Space offers high-quality office accommodation in this fast-developing Shoreditch fringe area.
