Mount Pleasant

Mount Pleasant is a scheme to renovate three former 19th century warehouse buildings along Mount Pleasant and Warner Street. During the 1st world war these buildings were acquisitioned to provide air raid shelters from the zeppelin threat. The project also includes No.5 Rosebery Avenue, which was formerly The North London weights and measures office.   The warehouses had previously been amalgamated and converted to poor quality office space with planning then granted to extend upward. BuckleyGrayYeoman’s scheme strips away the later additions to reveal the buildings unique historical features such as original brickwork, cast iron rivet columns and timber ceilings with herringbone strutting.   Internally the…
