Citadines Michel Hamburg

As Hamburg is such a unique and dynamic city, it was essential that the storyline of the hotel was developed to mesh with the neighbourhood’s history & culture to give an experience that reflected the locality. The city has been an important port both historically and up to the present, so it offered a natural design narrative which was applied throughout the hotel. The featured materials, graphics and imagery were inspired by the dock; shipping text on the floor and walls, industrial light fittings and rough sawn timber clad walls.
