The £15 million refurbishment of Derwent London’s Buckley Building is complete. The building offers over 87,000 sq ft of high quality office accommodation with ground level retail in Clerkenwell, the heartland of many of London’s creative industries. The opening is an especially important moment for the practice as Derwent London named the building after Richard Buckley, one of our late founding partners who died in 2008. BuckleyGrayYeoman have secured planning consent for a new build 85 unit residential scheme in Southwark, providing both private sale and social housing.  The proposal draws on the industrial heritage of Bermondsey with its robust architectural language of brickwork, dark metalwork and articulated facades.

Outline planning consent was granted in November 2012, to redesign the masterplan for the existing Abbey Park business park in Warwickshire. The proposed siting of the 5no. new buildings, totaling 14,000sqm, are sensitive to the Grade II listed landscape, existing mature trees and historic routes through the site. The development aims to have exceptional sustainability credentials to complement the unique parkland landscape.

BuckleyGrayYeoman’s latest restaurant design for Nando’s has opened in Dundee. By revealing and unifying the various layers of the Victorian Grade II listed building and adjoining 1920s warehouse, the eclectic design treatment draws upon elements of Nando’s South African heritage and fun-loving, youthful brand.
